Radiology is one of the most important diagnostic tools in Veterinary Medicine. In order to keep your level of service at the highest standard of care possible, it is crucial to have a talented team of radiographic interpretation experts on your side. Central Vet Imaging was founded in 2004 by Andrew Jones DVM, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology with these ideals in mind. The company is still solely owned and operated by Board Certified Veterinary Radiologists with many years of experience and dedication to reliable and timely interpretations. The Radiologists at Central Vet Imaging strive to help guide the next step in patient care, which includes recommending appropriate follow up diagnostics, as well as clearly stating when emergency measures such as surgery are indicated. In 1995 Dr. Jones graduated from the UC Davis Veterinary Medical School and spent the next 5 years practicing high quality Veterinary Medicine at a well respected small animal practice in the South San Francisco Bay area. This experience inspired him to seek a specialty medicine career. During a 4 year residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital he reinforced his passion for imaging and learned how to most effectively help doctors create appropriate treatment plans based on imaging and clinical findings. Having private practice experience prior to his extensive specialty training helped Dr. Jones to develop a very practical understanding of real world cases, which can be rare among specialists. The primary goal of the staff at Central Vet Imaging is to offer the highest standard of care through diagnostic imaging and give pet owners a clear understanding of the findings and possible treatment plans. Today, CVI has a top team of Board Certified Radiologists that have been selected by Dr. Jones to help guide your Veterinary care.
